The AI professor who’s already read your syllabus.

Your AI tutor, grounded in your own textbooks and syllabus.

Upload your syllabus and your textbooks. Get a tutor who knows what’s on your next exam.

ChatGPT doesn’t know your course. Your AI tutor should.

It’s Week 6. A Linear Algebra problem set is due Friday, there are 400 pages of Philosophy reading on your desk, and your syllabus has been sitting in a Canvas tab since January.

ChatGPT doesn’t know your professor’s version of any of it — so every session, you’re pasting screenshots and re-explaining the course. By finals, you want to actually know this material. Right now, you’re just trying to keep up.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload.

Drop in your syllabus and textbook PDFs. We map every chapter to your course weeks and your exam dates.

  2. 2

    Study.

Ask anything, any time. Your AI professor already knows what’s in your book and what your course covers this week.

  3. 3

    Practice.

Work problems from the section you just read. Every attempt feeds back into your skill map.

A Socratic AI tutor, not an answer machine

Most study tools are happy to hand you the worked solution. You scroll, nod, close the tab. On exam night, the same problem still breaks you.

Professor Auto won’t do that. It asks you the next question you should be asking yourself. It works the problem with you — up to the step you actually got stuck on, not past it.

“I can’t remember how I got the answer” is the worst feeling in an exam room. We’re building the tool we wish we’d had.

What your AI tutor does

Chat grounded in your textbooks

Every answer cites the page and the textbook your professor assigned — and knows which chapter is on your next midterm.

Works for physics problem sets, case law excerpts, history readings, and language textbooks alike. Handles equations, diagrams, and scanned pages.

A skill map that grows with you

See which concepts you've actually mastered — and which you've been avoiding since Week 3.

Skills are pulled from your course materials, not a generic taxonomy. Your map updates every session.

Practice problems from your textbook

Problems from the section you just worked through — no generic problem banks, no unrelated fluff.

Miss a problem? Your skill map updates, and the next session drills it.

How Professor Auto compares to ChatGPT and NotebookLM

(Founder note — direct version.)

Most of us already use ChatGPT or NotebookLM. Here’s what Professor Auto does that they don’t.

  • We start from your syllabus. ChatGPT and NotebookLM are genuinely great — once you tell them what you’re reading, what course this is, what week you’re in, and which edition of the textbook you have. Professor Auto does that setup once. Every session after starts with your course already loaded.
  • We turn reading into a loop. NotebookLM is a great document-chat — you ask a question, you get an answer grounded in your PDF. Professor Auto adds the other half of studying: practice problems from the section you just read, a skill map that tracks what you’ve actually mastered, and pacing against your exam dates.
  • We teach, not just answer. We walk the problem with you, up to the step you got stuck on. The difference between "closing the tab satisfied" and "passing the exam" lives in that step.

FAQ

How much does it cost?
Free. You bring your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google and pay the provider directly for what you use. No subscription, no markup.
What will I actually pay the model provider?
A few dollars a month for most students. You pay your model provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) directly at their usage rates — no markup from us. Set a monthly cap in their dashboard if you want a hard ceiling.
Will it just give me the answer if I'm in a rush?
No — on purpose. The whole point is that you learn the step you're actually stuck on. If you just want the worked solution, Professor Auto isn't it. Professor Auto is built for the version of you that wants to actually understand the material — not just get through tonight.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT doesn't know your textbook, your syllabus, or your exam dates. You do that context work yourself, every session. Professor Auto does it once, then remembers.
Does it handle math equations and diagrams?
Yes. There's a math input for equations, you can paste screenshots, and the tutor reads scanned PDFs and diagrams.
What subjects does it support?
If it's in a textbook or a syllabus, we can work with it. Physics, math, chem, and bio on the STEM side — history, law, philosophy, and languages on the humanities side. Test prep too. The product isn't subject-specific.
Is my uploaded textbook private?
Yes. Your materials stay tied to your account and are used only to teach you. Read the privacy policy →
